18th Birthday

Every year we all have one of these whether you want it to come or not. Birthdays can be filled with joy, heartache, boredom, sadness, celebration, and excitement. On Friday was my 18th and it was crazy. I started off the day with a stupid 8 am Engineering Workshop. I then had another class right after it, which was in fact English. After that I went straight to lunch with two of my best friends, Crystle and Mike. I took a shower, had Physics and goofed off a lot of the day. I had to clean though before my boyfriend, mom and step dad arrived. Crystle came over and we chilled in my room while I cleaned. Then around 5 o’clock Mike and the boys in Lee Hall begged me to come over so that they can give me their presents. They were all so nice and so excited for me because now I was legal. I was the only one there that wasn’t yet and they all treated me like a “youngin”, but in a good way. Mike got me freeze pops because he used to get them then he didn’t when we got back from break and I was upset. I love stealing them and eating them. Pink is my favorite for some reason. It’s so good. He also got me Laffy Taffy which I absolutely love, and Sour Patch Kids which are also very yummy. He got me this poster saying all these “shit” phrases; I love it! The title says: The Most Functional Word in the English Language and then under it it has all these phrases. It’s so funny. He also got me a few more little things. The other boys all got me cards which was so nice and sweet.

Crystle decided that she was going to give me a give everyday this past week up to my birthday starting last Sunday. It was so different but so much fun. It made me get excited for my birthday even more. On Sunday she gave me a pair of “going-out-earrings” which were very cute and from Charlotte Russe. On Monday I don’t remember what happened but she ended up giving me two presents on Tuesday. She gave me a necklace and another pair of earrings. They were both cute and perfect. Then on Thursday she gave me a nice warm scarf that I desperately needed due to the massive amounts of wind here at Tech. Then the next day she gave me a cute little clutch purse for going out. It’s this mini black purse shaped like one. I love it; it’s the perfect size. Then on the big day she gave me these massively tall sexy cheetah print high heels. They are definitely the highest I own now, but very hot.

My boyfriend got me a few mixed cd’s that I’ve asked for, a few gossip girl books, and an amazing present. He folded up this piece of paper into a heart and it says that I get to go on a shopping spree with him at a mall near our house. It’s the best present ever and I love it! I think it’s so cool. I’m so lucky. I love him. He’s so sweet to me.

All in all I had a great birthday. I love all my friends and family. I hope everyone else has a great day on their day! I sure had one.

This semester so far

So I’ll just start this semester off by writing about this semester so far. Actually I haven’t really gotten back into the swing yet. Yeah we aren’t technically on break anymore but I really haven’t had much work yet. I ended last semester stressed and aggravated and studying my ass off for finals. This first week was no comparison. It was filled with lollipops and gumdrops basically. We had a 4 day week, on Thursday and Friday we had classes cancelled, and I got to come back to this wonderful place. Last week was pretty fun for the most part. I found out I despise Wednesdays now. I absolutely hate them. No joke. Who allows people to schedule 5 classes or more on one day? It’s insane. But whatever. I guess I’ll deal. Um I know someone in almost all of my classes, so that’s pretty sweet. I’m still meeting more people though so it’s nice. I have my friends and I’m happy. My English class is awesome. I have all my favorite people in it  besides my best friend, but it’s ok. I guess I’m in a really good mood too because my birthday is coming up this Friday. Crystle (best friend) is planning on giving me one present everyday starting today so that’s exciting too. I’ll finally be legal. Yay! And this coming weekend I my dad’s coming down Thursday and Friday and mom is coming Friday and Saturday. Alex, my boyfriend, is coming for the entire weekend. So every day is going to be fun. I just got to get through Wednesday and the next four days after that are going to be great.
I still haven’t had all my classes so this week I’ll hopefully meet all my professors and classmates. I wish I didn’t have an 8 am on my birthday, but at least I end at a reasonable time (2:15). Then the rest of the day I’ll have with the people I love (boyfriend, best friend, parent 1 and parent 2 + “not”dad, and friends in Lee Hall). I will also be 18!! Ah I never get this excited about birthdays haha, but for some reason this one I am.
